There may be other bears in the arctic, but the polar bear is the largest land carnivore in the Arctic wilderness. The polar bear may look like any other bear, but they are unique in their own way, such as their characteristics and behavior . The polar bear, has unique characteristics that make it stand out the most compared to the other bears in its taxonomic group. The taxonomic group that the polar bear falls under is the Ursidae Group ( Tanya Dewey and Phil Myers). Breaking it down even further it goes down to genus, the genus of the polar bear is Ursus and it is derived from the latin word ursus, meaning bear. The patients were all put in the same scenario- comfortably in bed, quiet room, alone- for 20 minutes for 3 days after their cardiac procedure. However, in the music group, they had the choice of listening to one of four CDs with nature sounds playing during these 20 minutes. At the end of each session, it was found that the music group had a decrease in overall pain score, anxiety, and blood pressure, with an increase in relaxation score and overall satisfaction when compared to the control group. (Cutshall, 2011). This study made me think of a spa, where they play relaxing nature sounds and will usually have a waterfall or something similar in the lobby or spa room.
